Install WPC flooring in just a few steps

Wooden decks are the dream of many homeowners, but they also have their drawbacks: graying of the wood, cracks, chips, and weathering. None of these apply to “WPC decks” made of wood-plastic mixture. Laying is easy, but preparation shouldn’t be underestimated.

They are often called barefoot panels because they are very comfortable to walk on barefoot and will definitely not chip: WPC Decorative Panels. Their secret is the material. The best wood chips are not glued and shaped with plastic, this material is called “wood plastic composite” or simply “WPC”.

1. Considering heat absorption and water absorption, wood-plastic products will expand slightly, so the joists should be placed 3-5 mm away from the building.

2. Considering the hard and brittle nature of wood-plastic materials, the joists need to be pre-drilled before fixing the expansion screws.

3. The distance between joists should be 25-30cm.

4. The spacing between expansion screws should be 400mm to 500mm.

5. After the joists are fixed, drainage work should be done to avoid factors such as water expansion and damage to the cover plate.

6. Secure the starter clip to one side of the joist.

7. Insert the cover into the starter clip and install the first cover.

8. Insert the clamps into the board and screw into the joist (do not tighten).

9. Insert the second board into the previous clip.

10. Insert (do not tighten) the clamps holding the next row of plates.

11. Fully tighten the clamps and screws from step 8 and repeat step 9.

12. Complete the corner edging and complete the floor installation.
